Your Perfect Mate – Is It Written On The Stars?
Welcome to my Web site on “Global Romance.” I am kicking things off with this excellent writing about finding one’s soul mate. There are some interesting points in this article… and I am wondering if you agree? What do YOU believe? Do you think that your best “heart’s other half” is something that is destined to be… written on the stars, so to speak? Do you believe that perhaps your perfect partner is half a globe away?
The Quest For the Ever-Elusive Soul Mate
By Ruth Purple
In matters of love, finding the right partner is always one of the greatest goals that almost anybody dreams to achieve. This “right person” is what a lot of people refer to as a soul mate. Some people believe in free will, but quite a lot strongly believe that each person’s future is written on the stars.
A soul mate is that perfect someone who has been destined to be with you forever. Although it can be fun and delightful to dream about finding one, still the question of whether such people exist cannot be ignored. Is finding a soul mate a realistic goal or simply a lofty expectation? And if such people are for real, where can we find one? A person’s belief in fate has quite a lot to do with one’s belief in finding a soul mate.
However, don’t expect destiny to hand over that somebody that you have been dreaming of all your life without any effort on your part. In order to find that certain somebody, it is vital to reflect upon your own life right now. Look deep into yourself and discover the kind of person that you truly are.
If you can honestly say that you are what you really are, and you know yourself inside and out, then attracting and finding your soul mate is always possible. By having a crystal clear image of yourself, one can avoid going on a blind search and look for the kind of person that you really want to be with.
Sometimes people go on a date just for the sake of dating. Of course the experience can be fun and helpful, but it’s not always a good idea to go out with anyone just to have a date, or get stuck in a relationship because of the fear of being lonely and single.
Going out on a date can be an opportunity to scrutinize and see if the person has the qualities that you desire in a partner, and whether you would like to see him/her again to take the relationship to the next level. If the date will obviously not lead to the ideal relationship that you are dreaming of, then it’s pretty clear that this particular someone is not your idea of a perfect partner.

Side note: How does this apply to ONLINE dating? Chances are that you can meet and fall in love with someone far away, but it might be awhile before you two can actually meet in person. What will the passing of time mean, in the journey to find that “perfect person”? Or will this scenario actually be beneficial, in that the two of you will continue in the path of learning each other more deeply, and not be distracted by all the physical elements that happen once you are together, in person?
—
It’s only fair then, to stop seeing each other and giving false hopes and misleading expectations to one another. It is a common blunder for a lot of people to carry on with the relationship just because they have entered into their comfort zone, or doesn’t want to hurt the other person’s feelings.
Although their intentions may be good, this notion will actually prevent them from finding the one that they are really meant to be with, and also waste a lot of precious time in trying to convince themselves that this somebody is good enough to be a life partner even if he/she is actually not.
Finding one’s soul mate will require patience- a lot of it. Just remember that good things will come in good time and when you have finally found that special someone, you’ll see that it’s all been worth the wait.

Side note: I hope that this discussion has opened new avenues of thought in your search for your perfect love. What do you think? What do you think about the very idea that everyone has a “perfect mate” somewhere out there? Please leave me a comment, below, and let me know what you think!
